The 2015 Research funding opportunity is open to noxious weed research projects. The Trust Fund provides funding for research and development of innovative weed management techniques, including biological control. Applicants must contact and work with an organization, such as a university, weed district, conservation district, extension office, or tribe to be the funding recipient for the grant dollars. Noxious Weed Trust Fund grants are a reimbursement type of grant. The grant amount is limited to a maximum of $75,000/application and the application deadline is midnight on December 1, 2014. Research projects do not require match on the budget form. All proposed projects should complement and enhance the Montana Weed Management Plan. |
