The Montana Department of Agriculture announces that $150,000 from the Noxious Weed Trust Fund program is available for Emergency Grant Funding. These funds can be applied for to help combat noxious weed issues that may arise: i.e. fires, new invaders, floods, etc. There is a $25,000 project cap on all Emergency Grants and the deadline is midnight on November 2, 2015. After the deadline, this funding opportunity will close and funding requests will need to be applied for through the regular NWTF Grant Funding Opportunties.
An ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT (EA) will need to be completed if your application is funded. However, due to time constraints for submitting your application we will temporarily waive this requirement in order for you to submit your grant proposal. You will need to write "EA will be completed at a later date" in the EA Component of this application as it is a required field. If your project is funded you will need to complete the required EA by midnight January 31, 2016. |
